Many thanks for the info on the McClures I am very grateful. Perhaps Maud Hampson was born on way over to the States. Ireland seems to be mentioned so I feel sure that's where they sailed from. In 1880 when Aaron Joseph was christened as an adult I think he became a RC because his intended wife Elizabeth McCarthy most probably was and she may have been from Irish descent. I did notice that the witness of the nationalisation of Joseph A Hampson was a William McCarthy, he could have been a brother in law who could also have gone to the States.

As we seem not able to find a birth registration for Maud I'm wondering if she was born on the journey over to thr States?

Is it possible to find who Grace McClure marrieds to and where, wa she still in Yellowstone area

I am unable to find a birth for Maud E Hampson for June 1881 in England so presume she was born in Ireland

Could Aaron,Elizabeth and baby Maud Hampson have left from Ireland in 1882 , are there any passenger lists from there

Just looking at the baptism of Aaron as an adult in 1880 he was down as Aaron Joseph yet on the Freebmd site he is just down as Aaron hence where the confusion came in for me. The Joseph has thrown me, but obviously it is my Aaron Hampson. We have been to Montana a couple of times in the past few years, how I wished then thatI I had family of Aaron living there.

Would you ,know where Aaron or Joseph Hampson was living in 1900? I do appreciate you looking up on the records for me.

Looking at the info sent, it states that he is Aaron Joseph Hampson born Ireland infact I am surprised with the second name of Joseph and the continuation of calling himself Joseph. My Aaron was born in Sheffield England in 1859 with , just the name of Aaron although his father was called Joseph. In 1881 his occupation was an engineers fitter but he is stated as being a fireman in 1889 also surprised at his different occupations. I wonder if he went to Ireland in 1881 and that's where he sailed from. When did his wife Elizabeth die and where? Was Maud his only child? If this is my Aaron then obviously he called himself Joseph while living over there

Joseph married again in 1887, presumably in Illinois?

Thank you for the info. So Maud Hampson was the daughter of Aaron Joseph Hampson and Elizabeth McCartthy and obviously went to Montana, it states Immigration year of 1882, so that means Aaron and Elizabeth her parents obviously went To America in 1882.Maud was a baby because she was not on the 1881 census in England. Now some of this makes some sense because in 1901 my grandfather Lemuel William Hampson nephew of Aaron went to Wyola Montana. wow this is great news, now to find if possible the Immigration of Aaron and Elizabeth Hampson
