Doubt if they're the children of this William and Janet......as rootgatherer pointed out-Janet was a little old and besides they were in England in 1871. |

Ok - looked at the marriage. He's not your man. He is the carpet weaver son of James Bisset and Bethia Forbes. The Janet he married is 4 years younger than him. |

I haven't got around to purchasing the marriage certificate, budget wont allow at the moment and I want to make double sure its the same William Bisset. Elizabeth Bisset was born 1866, James 1869 and Bethia 1871 all Bridgeton |

I did trace the 2 deaths in infancy for Bethia and James Bisset, but no sign of Elizabeth, yet she wasn't with her parents in 1871 Liverpool. |

Hi Reggie, traced the marriage in Bridgeton in 1867 not 65... Looks like they had 3 children James Elizabeth and Bethia, but they're not with them in 1871...Died perhaps, I did see that Bethia and James have died in infancy, but no death for Elizabeth. I did see an Elizabeth in 1871 with William and Janet, but not sure these are the right parents as William has a different occupation and this Janet is only a couple years older and not 10... |

Hi Maureen, I have found the 1881 census, but have been trying to locate him on the 1871 to try and find out who he married and if there are any children .. Cant seem to find him in 1891 although I see the family he boarded with. |
