Interesting......I've seen the India information before when researching but it's hard to know if it's him without knowing why, and where he came to after leaving the Army - assuming he was in the Army. |

Hello again. Just thinking.... Is it likely that any of the regiments listed on the previous post would have been posted to the Midlands area for some reason? That might explain why Patrick ended up in Staffordshire and married a woman from Derbyshire. |

Sarah....If you check Free BMD you will see there were 7 children born to that couple between 1920 and 1927. |

I'll just throw into the mix, that as they married immediately post WW1, could it have been Ethel was involved in War work away from home and that is how they met, returning to the Burton area to marry and settle? |

Another Thomas in the area 1881, a better age to have an 1890 child. (And they are in Whittinghton, which is the usual place of abode on your Patrick's death cert. ????????? |

There is a Marriage of a Thomas Callaghan to an Isabella Nichol recorded Ncle. for Sept.1870 10b 222 and again to the same Isabella Nichol Ncle Dec 1870 10b 80 |
