Find Ancestors

Hello, trying to more about Norah Stott, born in the area Newcastle/Hexham/Rothbury Northumberland Apr 1879. She married John Rice Smith 1906 in Sunderland. and had at least 4 children Norah, May, Hilda, one child died before 1911.

The possible 1891 census shows her as an orphan!

I am looking for the 1881 and 1901 census, but cannot find anything.

You have no doubt found the various Stotts of Newcastle, but no sign of Norah in 1881 as far as I can tell. Might be a cert!!

Well done Maureen - missed that one! It does indeed look like Stott. Great find. Doesn't help though does it, what a pity.
Her birthplace being unknown would fit with her being an orphan.

I found an Elizabeth Stote, died Apr 1879, maybe her mother

I don't know why I'm leaning towards Thomas and Julia STOTT as her parents.

Saw that one too! I would guess Julia had a daughter:
