Member Since: July 2005 Posts: 10,667 Send Message	Couple of tips - other people will have more and better I'm sure, but these are fairly simple and help me Look for less not more ie Mary not Mary Ellen Expand area where born - people will have heard of Ulverston, but not Scales perhaps Be prepared for ages to differ by a few years You may have to trawl through all the Mary or Mary Ellens born Lancashire who are in other parts of the country too Be prepared to transpose names ie Eleanor instead of Ellen - maybe as heard by the person recording the information or using Ellen as first name not Mary
