My mum and her dad were not close. Now my mum has passed away, I want to trace my Grandfather's family tree. All the information I have is that my Grandfather was called James Owen and he was a wholesale fruit merchant. This is the information on my Mum's marriage certificate. How can I find out more information? My Mum was born in Ermston,Lancashire. |

Urmston is a town within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester, England, in Lancashire, it lies about six miles (10 km) to the southwest of Manchester city centre. The southern boundary is marked by the River Mersey and the Mersey Valley, with Stretford lying to the east and Flixton to the west. Davyhulme lies to the north of the town centre |

Urmston comes under Barton for the years in question, which is why I posted the 1920 and 1890 births. |

This, I believe, would be Alex's Grandparents wedding but this makes her grandfather a William (not a James), and her great grandfather a James? - Or have I got confused somewhere? |
