I think the marriages you were given for Harriett and Ann were correct.
Looking at Major Walter Liddiard you think he went to Canada so you need to find evidence.

But Henry Edward is not with them. He would of course be of an age to have left home by 1841.

However reading their are several Edwards in the area and I am not sure if you have the right one.
This is the baptism of Henry on my tree. His father is a weaver.
20-Aug-1826 C Henry LIDDIARD, son of Edward and Mary LIDDIARD of Aldbourne, Weaver 605
Could you confirm the Henry we are following as I am not sure it is the same one. Was it Henry and Phylis?
EDIT I have tracked Henry and Phylis before. I cannot remember where or when.

Yes, I received your message, but it's best to keep to the thread so others may be able to help - we all have different subscriptions and knowledge of different records - so something I miss may be picked up by others.
You think Henry's mother may have been Mary Ann or Marianne - but I'm not finding anything on this in the records on familysearch or ancestry.
There's no date for the marriage to Harriet, it was from freebmd which just records the quarter/year, and doesn't give their maritial status or ages at time of marriage. The only way to verify if it is correct is to order the marriage certificate from GRO

If 1841 is correct, then Ann (or Mary Ann) has died by 1851 and Edward is with Harriett as posted earlier. If you notice, one child on that census is Albert and Harriett is with him after Edward's death as his step-mother:

Hi Colin, welcome back to your thread, thought you'd got lost ;-)
So, is the marriage & christening for Henry the right one? What about the 1841 census - do you think that is possibly the right Edward?
