Thanks again Yvonne, I thought Robert Hooper married someone with the first name Mary, but now seems to be Elisabeth Ann Reynell, that's an unusual surname, interesting. (Perhaps Robert remarried, bit puzzled by this.) |

According to K above, James parents were: Robert Hooper and Mary Hooper. Can't see how this Elisabeth fits in ? Anyway, if you find anything more, let me know, thanks. :-D |

Thanks for that Yvonne, yes, my James Hooper married an Elizabeth Nightingale, and was a comb maker, a lot of the Hoopers' were comb makers, not sure why ? Still not sure how you got the idea for Elisabeth Ann Reynell though ? I thought James parents were Robert Hooper and someone with the first name: Mary, I can only go by what others have posted on here. |

Thanks a lot for that Yvonne, so, it seems Robert Hooper married a Mary Dallman, never seen that surname before, one to check out... |

So, this is how it goes: James Hooper who married Elizabeth Nightingale, his parents were Robert Hooper and Mary Dallman, and Robert's parents were John Hooper and Mary Hobbs. |

Having a look around online... I came across someone in Australia during research into a Robert Hooper and Mary Dallman. Mentioned that Robert Hooper was the son of Robert Hooper and Elisabeth Archbald. Mary died on the 24th June 1822 in Stitchell Roxburghshire. Had a number of children: Henry Hooper, Catherine Deborah Hooper, William Hooper, Alexander Hooper, and Charles Dallman Hooper. So, perhaps Robert parents were not John Hooper and Mary Hobbs ? This family research gives me a headache lol ;-) :-D |

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but did John Hooper and Mary Hobbs really marry 5 years after Robert's birth? |

Yvonne, yes the Hoopers' lived in Shoreditch and Bethnal Green, and I suppose other areas nearby. BeverleyW, I'm only going on the info that others have posted on here... Regarding Robert Hooper who parents were Robert Hooper and Mary Hobbs, I've also found a person doing research into this family line online, and she has Robert's parents being Robert Hooper and Elisabeth Archbald, perhaps Robert remarried ? Regarding the dates you mentioned above, I haven't being looking at them hard enough, so I'm not sure what is going on... ? |

I think I better go back to square one... lol Right James Hooper married Elizabeth Nightingale, then it seems his father was Robert Hooper and Mary, I'm stopping there for a while.. ahaha. |
