I am trying to find his paternal line but I am getting confused.
Could you all please give your opinion if his grandfather is John Thomas Davis or John Tank Davis or are they the same man.

Before knowing who his grandfather was is it not important that you know who his father was?

What was the fathers name and when and where was he born?

As Ronald Augustus Davis mmn is Hoare,

the only marriage i can find for Davis to a Hoare that fits is this one

Posting 1911 census does not answer the question posed by Roy

Tracing it back (if the John and Beatrice marriage is correct) these are the Grandparents but I'm sure his name isn't Colin. It could be John but it's difficult to read.

If the man born 1883 was Ronald's father.........no way was he the son of John TANK Davis.


BUT.....have you done anything to find out who Ronald's father actually was?

You appear to have leapt from 1921 to 1828 with nothing having been checked in -between

His marriage to Mary Ann Hack gives his name as John Thomas Davis not John Tank Davis.
