I would welcome any advice as to whether U think I am correct in my thinking. In 1849 0n the Isle of Wight Thomas Burke born c1829 Ireland marrried Mary Louisa Frances Tennes born 1st July 1833 Edinburgh. Thomas was in the Army and was based at Parkhurst Barracks on the IOW. |

You could search FindMyPast to see if there are any discharge papers for him in Ref WO97. If his papers have survived, they would tell you when he was discharged although probably won't mention his family, but may tell you where he was going to live. |

For ref. is this the record you found? Although i cant see them on the 1861 England census either on Anc. or FMP |

They are in Banf, Gamrie in 1881 and 1891 but I cannot find them on the earlier census either. |

Thomas and Mary Ann had bridget jane burke in 1875 Old Deer Aberdeen,a tree on Ancestry has her and it staes her parents were thomas Burke and Mary Ann Mcdonald!! |

Thomas did marry Mary Tinnuche [correct spelling] although she was baptised as Tennes. I will evaluate the above. Many thanks for your advice and research |
