Christine...I can't speak for other than RC but Baptism details are required for Confirmaation to take place.normally Baptism took place within the first couple weeks following Birth.Details of Baptism are in the Confirmation Register if the child was Baptised out of Parish / Church where Confirmation took place.If you have knowledge of where that was then I would try contacting that Church. |

Eringobragh Thanks for this info. I know that dad was confirmed in 1941. I have a booklet showing the date. Only thing I don't have is the church details. I can only assume that it was in the Chessington area as that's where he was living with his foster parents. He was, as far as I know, born in Hendon so I suppose he would have been baptised in that area. I'll try and give his confirmation church another go. |
