Find Ancestors

Please someone find out what happened to Philip Puxley D O B not known who married Helen Chown b 1884 in 1915 St Thomas Devon.
I know Helen went to live in Swansea but not when or if Philip was with her.
She lived with Frederick Webb for some time before they married in 1956 Exeter.
I would like to know what happened after she married Philip ,where they went and how she ended up in Swansea.
Did Philip die or did they divorce.

Don't know what it means, perhaps he was trying to find her and was placing an advert?

Or, perhaps he'd died and her whereabouts were being sought to inform her. Perhaps that's when she knew she was legally free to remarry?

The detail of the 1954 probate record posted above reads:

I think Louisa Fanny Mitchell was Philip Puxley's sister and this may be her marriage:

Helen was 31 at marriage, in wartime.

Sorry no marriage cert ,only knew her when in my teens and she was with Frederick Webb in Swansea and they came to stay with us at Stoke Canon in Devon.
Have only just found out she was married to Philip Puxley,
No children were spoken about or any other family.
Helen and my grandmother Susan were half sisters their father was Frederick Chown b 1849 Exminster
In 1911 census Helen was living with her parents Frederick and Jane at Middle Tousington Cotts Exminster.
AS there are no Aunts or Uncles alive I doubt if I shall ever find out how it came about that Philip was in London and Helen in Swansea.

Hello everyone
I have been looking on Free BMD and there are a lot of Frederick W Webb`s getting married in the London area.Some in Pancras and Hackney where Philip Puxley was.
I am wondering if my Frederick W Webb b 1877 Swansea went to live in London when he was younger and got married but then he met Helen Puxley nee Chown and they both separated from their other half and then went to Swansea to live.
Is there any way of checking if this could have happened please.

If the 1911 I posted is correct then it suggests that everyone may have met in Devon. Philip Puxley had Devonshire connections as he was there on the 1891 census, Frederick William Webb was living there and so was Helen.

There's nothing to suggest Helen ever lived in London. She may have started a relationship with FW Webb whilst in Devon and when their marriages broke up Philip went back to London and she and FW went to his native Swansea.

This is purely hypothesis so you really do need to order some certificates to get more detail.

Your information sounds very likely ,I had not thought of a Devon connection.
I found on Find My Past 1881 census a Frederick W Webb b 1877 Swansea which matches with father William b 1852 Talgarth Brecknockshire mother Elizabeth b 1859 Cymmer Glamorganshire.
Then looking on Free BMD I think the maiden name for Elizabeth was Price and they married Mar 1873 Crickhowell.
1881 living 20 Westbury St,Swansea(Town) it all matches so I hope I have the right people.

Please can someone help find the father of Louisa Fanny Puxley. b 1883 Bow
MarieCeleste found her marriage to John Mitchell which shows her father as Philip Puxley but I have not been able to find him or the name of his wife.

I have a brother of Louisa ,Philip b 1879 Poplar, Bow,London don`t know if there were any more children it would be a great help if you could also find that out for me.

So many with the name Philip.
