Hi reggie thanks for that link... I have tried to input the information that I have but it shows up with 0 matches, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong as I also looked for their wedding ( as a test) and I couldn't get a match on that either! We know Edward charles phelps married olive watts in 1942 in st ethelberts church in little dean in the forest of Dean . We also know that she died in sept of 1947, so why can't I get a hit on that site? She was 24 when she died |

The only way to establish cause of death is indeed to purchase the cert. |

Ok, so after a pretty sleepless night with everything whirling around in my head..... Is it possible to find out whether there were children from the first marriage ( Edward Charles phelps and olive watts?) if so,how do I go about doing so? Also, if we wanted to find out how olive died I presume we would need to order a copy of her death certificate? |

The marriage was pretty close after her death too. It's quite possible they had already parted some time before of course. Most people didn't divorce as it was tricky and expensive. |

The time between the death of Olive and the birth of the first child to Phelps and Stock marriage Is dubious? Possible skeletons in the cupboard |

The reference numbers are necessary should you wish to get any of the certs. These can be ordered online and cost £9.25. |

everyone is being so kind in replying, thankyou. we have come to these names too, but the ages of the brides don't seem to correspond ( they all seem too old) although, I suppose he could have had an older woman. I know we are being horribly thick, but what do we do with the reference numbers attached to the relevant documents |
