Can anyone help me find the marraige of George Watt and Jane Weir. I think that they were married in Lewis Stornaway Scotland in Sept 1848. (I got that date from downloading one of thier childrens birth reg. and it showed the date of their marraige) I have tried on Scotlands people but they only go back as far as 1855. I would love to go back to their parents but don't know where to start. Can anyone please help. |

I don't know if others would know about other sites for Scotland. I only know of Scotlands People and Familysearch which is free to use. |

Did George and Jane die in Scotland? If so, their death certs should give their parents' names. |

Thankyou Potty, I really don't know when they died, thanks for the information about Janes baptism, scotlands people don't seem to go back before 1855 for births. Sandra. |
