The 1896 marriage for Harriet Pattison and John Jefferson shows her to be in her 20s and her father to be David Pattison but his occupation IS NOT TINSMITH. Hmmmm, I should probably order that certificate. |

Peter have you tried searching this free site for bmd's? |

That is great. Also, there were Pattison cousins living in Pontefract from the c. 1890s so that would fit also. |

On the basis that his daughter Mavis Queenie appears to have married in Pontefract as below there appears to be a possible death for Charles in the same Reg District |

perhaps should be 1 year married (census does say 10 so were they trying to hide the fact that children were born before marriage!) |

On that note, I can't find a marriage for Charles and Ann?! Married c. 1900. I've tried Pattison, PattiNson and Patterson. What do you think? |

Sorry Patchem but I don't know the answer to which children and surived and which ones died young. I can only account for 8 of the 12. |

As I said, the 1911 says 12 children to the marriage, 6 still living. |

Thanks Patchem ... I only suspect that the census Andrew posted could be wrong due to the birth location (which doesn't tally). But then, that wouldn't be the first time. |

Andrew posted a possible for David in 1901, do you believe this to be wrong? |
