Hi there, looking for my relative Mary Bowman in the 1911 census. She was born c. 1840, in Yarm, Yorkshire or Stockton, County Durham, wife of John Bowman. |

In the 1881 census posted there is an Emily Bowman, aged 14, so born about 1866, but she is not present on the 1871 census. |

Emily in 1871, so not the correct Mary. |

It is Mary who has died, and John has married a rather younger bride (he is down as born in Preston on 1871 census). |

Thank you Patchem ... I have not seen this before. Very kind of you. Can you please post the 1871 also? In 1861, John described his place of birth as 'unknown'. Thank you for resolving this for me. |
