Once you have sent a message to him either by using Ida May Summers or his name keep checking your sent messages. There is a green envelope next to the message and you will see if he opens it or not.

Some people add their trees and don't check very often. If they change their email address GR can't contact them so they won't get a message

Hi this is a message for Derek Footman. I believe we have a relative in common Ida May Footman ( nee Summers ) born 10/09/1912. My grandfather was her brother Leonard Summers who lost contact with her many years ago.
Your relatives fathers name was Frederick summers and her mothers name was Frances Gurtrude Summers ( nee Pittaway ) .Who died in December 1918 along with her sons Louis and Frederick jnr who were all taken by the flu pandemic.
This is just a little bit of what I have found out.Could you please respond to this as I would like to find out more about Ida.

The electoral registers show her living with a Hector H Footman at 96a Grange Road, Moseley. She's living there from 1945 until at least 1965

Her maiden name is confirmed by the names of children that also appear at the same address in later electoral registers:

Footman Raymond, mother's maiden name- Summers Birmingham 6d 562. (Raymond died 1998)

Births Jun 1943
Footman (name deleted- possibly living), mother's maiden name- Summers Birmingham 6d 831

I don't have access to the 1939 register, but they are on there too living in Solihull- perhaps someone will take a look for you-

What was her date of birth on the birth certificate? Would it be 15 Nov. 1912 matching the death certificate that rootgatherer posted?

Hi everyone I need your help, again with your help i was able to get a copy of Ida May Summers birth cert. This week I was trying to find a marriage cert for Ida but have not been able to find anything. Inow find myself trying to find a death cert for but can't find anything for her. I'm not very good at this geneology lark as I have no idea where to start looking it's as if I've hit a brick wall and can't find a way through it. Could one of you kind souls out there help me as it is driving me insane going round in circles.
By the way is anyone going to the show at the n e c ?

If you had Ida's birth certificate, you would know her middle name and her exact date of birth. It may then be possible to trace her death using her full Christian name and date of birth but no surname.

Here's an example but without further research I am not saying this is your Ida.

Hi all it's me again, I am having trouble with my grandfathers sister as I know very little about her after she and my grandfather fell out. From what you kind people out there have told me her name was IDA M SUMERS born in 1912. but that is as much as I know.
doe's anybody out there have an IDA M SUMMERS in their family tree where my grandfather Leonard summers appears along with and again thanks too the kind people out there FREDERICK SUMMERS ( FATHER ) and FRANCIS GERTRUDE SUMMERS ( NEE PITTAWAY ) MOTHER with brothers LOUIS SUMMERS,FREDERICK SUMMERS JNR.
All of the above names are as a result of this site.

1921 won't be released until 2022. Electoral Roles are updated annually, but only certain ones are available on line. You can search current and older ones at the local library.

and are the electoral registers for every year or every 5 years ? as I would like to try and find people in them as I don't no where else to look.

Are you aware of these births too (from Freebmd) - 1911 onwards, you can use MMN to search for births:

This might be Leonard 1955 - there are a few Leonard Summers around, but most have a middle name. He is living with a Winifred M. Summers and Leonard Summers junior.
