You say that your husband's great grandfather is Harold Henry Harding, but on the 1911 that you posted he is Harold Charles. Have you just copied over a name incorrectly, or is this as stated in the records? Thank-you.
Added: Do you know if this is her death?: Alice L Lacey Birth Date: abt 1880 Date of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec 1962 Age at Death: 82 Registration district: Willesden Inferred County: Middlesex Volume: 5h Page: 250

I have Harold Henry Hardings Birth certificate that has his mother and father on it.
The 1911 census above does seem to fit as he had a brother Frederick, sister Queenie and Violet according to Uncle George. Frederick was so called Actor in Bournemouth
Uncle George is the son of Harold Henry Harding.
The Birth record I have is correct for Harold. when you print the 1911 census off it states only Harold Harding on it but in Ancestry index it is listed as Harold Charles.
I do not know where she died. Nicholas and Alice were on the electrol roles together in Coventry till 1932 living with Harold and his wife and in 1933 Nicholas was on his own with them.

When you say that she divorced him, did an actual divorce go through, or did she just leave him? I suppose either way if she started living with someone else she could have taken their surname whether through marriage or just by calling herself the new surname.

Just an obsevation on the 1911 census at 13 Stewart Road, Bournemoth
This return was signed by Alice Harding. She evidently filled in the form as the handwriting matches her signature. ( her written name on census return is identical to her signature) She entered herself as 30yrs old She states she was married 10yr, had 6 children with 5 still living.
There are 5 children on the census, but the eldest daughter Louisa Harding, is 24 yrs old and only 6 yrs her junior??
Was Louisa Harding George's child? If so, he cannot be the man on the earlier census returns, as he is not old enough to be Louisa's father.
NB: There is a transcription error on the Ancestry search re 4yr old Harold. He us entered simply as Harold Harding age 4 and not as Harold Charles

According to the National Archives it looks more like an application for annulment rather than a divorce:
Divorce Court File: 7651. Appellant: Alice Lavinia Lacey otherwise Alice Lavinia White. Respondent: Nicholas Lacey. Type: Wife's petition for/of nullity [WN]. Covering dates 1933 Held by The National Archives, Kew Legal status Public Record(s) Language English

The Plot thickens. 10 Butcher Row Coventry ( address on 1915 marriage) If Alice Lavinia White lived here, she must have been in service or something similar
This was a 5 roomed house and occupied by the same Italian family ( Podesta) from at least 1881 and the Podesta family were still living there at 1911 The head of household Lazarus Podesta died at this address in 1932

Just noticed on the original of that 1911 that the 10 years married, 6 children born and 5 still living was written by Alice against George's name. It appears to be the enumerator who has amended the details to relate to her. The info therefore may not be strictly accurate.

Hi I have applied for the divorce paperwork from the National Archives should recive that in the next 13 days.
The plot in deed does thincken as according to George it was the Lacey side I need to go up.
Yes I belive Louisa on the census is George first daughter from his wife with Emily Rogers by the looks of things.
And as Harolds BC states George John Harding on the BC and Alice Lavina formerly White I thought I was on the right track.

Hi Mavis
The last I know of Alice Lavina is that she is at 50 St Margaret Coventry with her husband Nicholas Lacey in 1932.
In 1933 it is just her Husband Nicholas Lacey, son Harold and daugter in law who are at this adress.
Maybe the papers from the National Archives will shed some light on this.
Anything is possible.
So I am defianatley correct in going up George John Harding side.
