Hello could anyone help me fin the death of my Grandmother Ethel Harris nee Hadland, she was born 1906 & was wed to a Joseph Daniel Harris, they wed 29th Dec 1928 in Birmingham I have tried looking everywhere, but have not had any luck, Joseph was born 1907 died 1998 in Birmingham.

get her birth cert as a start . her actual birth date may help/

If it does tie with the death I posted then get that death cert too. She will be described as wife or widow of and the hubby's name so you will know if its the right lady.

We cant give you actual details sometimes the records mean you have to buy certs.

The birth I posted is her .

She could have been born late 1905 so that death ties up too.

It may be an idea to get her birth cert for her actual birth date,

IF born late 1905 she would show as born 1906 on the 1911 census

Willesley is a place near Ashby-de-la-Zouch. It was in Derbyshire but is now part of Leicestershire.

reg in Mar qtr she could have been born late 1905. you have 6 weeks to register a birth so may have been reg in Jan 1906


Edit thats the right birth as Ashby transferred to Leicesteshire in 1897.

Are you sure she was born in Derbyshire in 1906 as not seeing a birth for her.?

sorry no idea but maybe before, I never knew her while I was growing up, so I know nothing about her
