Susannah Potts nee Drummond remarried in 1876 after the death of John Potts in 1874.He was a Steamboat Master left under £1000 to Susannah. She married John Walker Greenfield he died 1882. 1901 she is in Kent with daughter Mary Hannah born @ 1865. William J Potts son of Susannah married Rebecca Hepple.
Anyone found the parents of William Drummond in 1841/51?

Surname Forename(s) Year District DRUMMOND William 1842 Durham Central DAVISON Mary 1842 Durham Central Register No. - Entry No. - District DCCE27/1 - 237 - Durham Central (1842)
The ref is gotten from the postal application form. My guess DCCE27=St.Laurence Pittington (formerly St. Lawrence)
William DRUMMOND Spouse: Mary DRYSDALE Register: C F4 Entry: 147 Date: 17/01/1846
William DRUMMOND Spouse: Barbara LUMSDON Register: C G1 Entry: 96 Date: 19/05/1850
Using the marr index help page: http://www.southtyneside.info/article/10778/Marriage-indexes
South Shields Church of England Computer Reference St Hilda C F Holy Trinity C G
More generally, there are several online indexes from local registery offices: http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/local_bmd It's always worth checking both the GRO & the local as they don't extract the same info for their indexes. The local indexes might use the local page # or the original entry # in their ref. They usually use the entry # for marrs, so one knows who wed whom. (Even when they use page #, the pages don't always align, so there can be difft couples appearing on the GRO page and the local page.) The local registers always contain 500 entries at 5 per page for Bs & Ds, and 2 per page for Ms. A local marr ref will identify the register - effectively the church (or registrar) plus a sequence #, although this might be coded in some way they don't tell you. A B/D ref will identify the register, in this case a subdistrict plus a sequence #. They may not tell you their coding, but you can often guess e.g.,
Register No. - Entry No. - District SN+1 - 335 - Durham Western (1838) so the obvious guess is Durham (St Nicholas).

Yes it has been transcribed as John Brown Head but the house schedule is a different number.
Someone has taken and put it on their tree. see how easy it is to make a mistake.

Got your pm I never looked on f/s because i never knew of the 1st marriage but i have just looked unfortunately theres no Susannahs birth to rule out the John Brown father bit in the tree i was looking at. I hope that is a misread mistake from the 51 census as you say there is a line seperating the 2 families

Not at all . I found the marriage in Australia on Familyserch .org which is free to use. They have changed it lately and I get a bit muddled with it. You used to be able to put in a name for the husband and wife's names and then find a child born to them and then find all the other children they had but you can't do that at the moment. They did say they would bring that search back later on. It is the Later Day Saints Site.
I have pm'd you.

yes i believe that is probable I have just been looking on a tree on mundia and it states susannah drummonds father is the john brown, probably from the1851 census do you think that is a mixup from an unclear census as i can not check the transcript unless i visit library, do you have access to pre 1837 marriages hope you dont think i am being too pushy

Sorry for delay been to daughters for tea Well you have been busy and very helpful M/F/G Sring garden lane is also where Williams mother is living with her grandson Joseph who is the son of my ancester James ,Williams brother. So that looks very promising. The births of james in 1836 looks correct as he died 1841 and a Mary Ann also died young in 1842 With the mother being Mary Ann Taylor i now believe that is the marriage i am looking for, obviously 1836 or earlier and not the Mary Davison marriage It also appears that Susannah's so Thomas Henry Potts moved to Australia Thankyou so much you have been very very helpful

re-post Is there a street address on the 41& 51 census to make a link As i did not know of Williams 1st marriage i have not yet traced for children I do know he had 1 child with 2nd wife Emma in 1870s Elizabeth could be williams younger sister who was born 1831 as the 41 census does not state relationships This would also mean the 1842 marriage may be wrong and William married earlier?
