I am anxious to trace information on the family detaild below; particularly the brothers of 3rd son Thomas (C below)

B. Georgeus Hall was born circa 1834 in Roscommon, Ireland.1 He was baptized in Ireland.

C. Thomas Hall was born on 1 Jun 1836 in Coolderry, Ballinasloe, Roscommon, Ireland. He was baptized after 1 Jun 1836 in Roscommon, Ireland.

Just 2 Irish births followed by these. All in Australia, including a second child named Mary. I guess the first died in infacy?
This family must have moved from Ireland to Queensland, then onto Victoria... which corresponds with info on the marriage of daughter Mary (2)

Anne...I am still not sure as there was a Patrick b 1858 and Marie 1860 Reg. Roscommon...However these children may have died and further same names applied to subsequent children later...The Christian name of the father .."Foster" is suspect and I would be inclined to think the Birth (listed above ) for Marie 1883 as James "Foster" Hall is more likely..!

Thomas Hall married Jane Kelly ( daughter of John Kelly) on 8th October 1865.Reg Ballinasloe
Dont know if they married in Moore RC Chapel (Most likely) ... Jane was from Moore...(abt 2mls from Ballin.on the road to Athlone...

1911 shows John jnr. at No 7 married to Brid.and with a young family....both parents appear to have died.

Parents names correspond to Foster Hall s/o Patrick Hall and Mary Tully
This man died on 6 Jun 1899 aged 69.
This makes his approx year of birth 1830/1.
His daughter Mary placed a memorium in The Sydney Morning Herald on his 1st anniversary.
If this is the correct man, then he has moved again. This time to NSW??
Foster Hall that Edann is looking for was baptised in Feb 1832.

I dont have other than basic and old "collected Irish data" to use so lots of it from my end is pure detective work....

George is proving elusive at the moment....

I cannot believe that there were 2 men called Foster Hall and BOTH had wives called Mary Cullen!
I can only assume that one or both of the Irish born children died.
I am looking for deaths, both in Ireland and in Australia but it is the preverbial needle in a haystack.
Loads of possible deaths but no parents names. Grrr

My reckoning is that Foster was 68yrs old at time of death, uless he was more than a year old when he was baptized.... not likely.

( My dad's headstone says he died aged 72 but he was only 71, just shows that my family can't count either!)

Got back to marriage of Patrick Hall and Marie Tully...Edann's dates are wrong...

Just thinking about this.....
Foster Hall and Mary Cullen married in 1857.
Foster would be 25yrs old. How old was Mary?
There does seem to be 2-3yrs between most children, until we get to the last two.
There is 5yrs between George and James but ana another 5 or so between James and Ellen Maria

If Mary Cullen was a similar same age to her husband, it would make her about 50yrs old at time of Ellen Maria's birth.
My thinking is that Mary was a bit younger than Foster.

Unless there is a generation missing but that would mean lots of children missing also...

The only extra piece of info refers to the child called Mary, born in Ireland and died at sea 1862?
