Yes it is possible they were searching for him for some days, but there would have been many mines both active and inactive to cover...miners were often solitary men, or just had the wanderlust and caught goldfever!!! If you do get the certificate it would be interesting to find out how much info is on it. |

It does say that the shaft was abandoned; even though it was only 20ft. deep. It may have been hard to get to him. |

Rosina's funeral notice (Sydney Morning Herald, 13 May 1919) states her full name as Rosina Christina Bullock, late of 55 Kensington Rd, Summer Hill. It appears she died at Western Suburbs Cottage Hospital; she was 52. |
