Hi Lima, if you don't have a sub to Ancestry you can search the trees and contact owners on their sister site Mundia http://www.mundia.com/gb/ |

Is this the Percy Howard you are looking for? |

Just had a look at that 1920 US census and Percy's wife's name is actually Edith. Here they are in 1910: |

The Percy born in London in 1882 to James and Ann died in the same year but a son born in 1883 who is the one in the 1891 census was named Percy too. |

But her birthplace is Scotland per the 1910! |

Looks Like its the wrong Percy Howard! His parents were definitely James Howard and Ann Hester Foster. |

I have seen a photo of them with another couple. Pretty sure it was just after they arrived in the States. He sent the photo to his mum back in England. |

Lima - do you know for definite that the couple in the 1920 census (and 1910 that I've posted) is definitely your Percy and not the one born in Bradford? |

Doesn't look as if any of the trees on Ancestry have any further info re his line. They must have just disappeared!!! I think the 1920 and 1930 census posted are the Bradford Howards! |

I agree, I don't think any of those US records are for your Percy. This WW1 record confirms that the Percy married to Ethel (wrongly transcribed in 1920 as Odella) is the one born in Bradford: |

I have just found a post card from Percy with RMS Luciana on the front dated 18th May 1906. The card addressed to his sister said arrived safe and well will write a long letter soon. Your loving brother Perce. |

No need to be sorry at all Lima - it's easy to go down the wrong path when there's two blokes with the same name and very similar ages. |

That looks promising. Perhaps he stayed in and around New York if he was planning to visit his friend there. |
