there is also the possibility Ann was not registered, Liverpool was an area where many births were not registered before it was compulsory. |

Jude. I can't get a birth certificate for Ann because I don't know her exact date of birth and would have to purchase quite a few and eliminate them and they are too expensive to buy and then not be the right one. |

The 1911 census is frustrating. I have so many children born and died between censuses. And as the mmm was not part of the bmd record before 19111 - little or no chance!! Without knowing where in Ireland Michael was born you are on a slippery slope! Connor born Ireland landed Liverpool is very very common. Your best chance is Ann's birth certificate |

If I have found the correct 1911 census she had four children who died. Do you know the names of the other three ? |

Some-one sent me an 1861 census ;- Michael Connor 40, born Ireland a widower, Dock Labourer, Ann Connor 7 born Liverpool, both lodging with William Poole 50, Ann Poole 47 and children St Aideen's Parish Liverpool. This looks like my gt gt Grandmother with her Father, but I have tried to find both of them in 1871 on Familysearch site and can't find either of them!! If Michael was a stoker by 1871 and on a ship did they still go on census forms?? |
