Geraldine, I've yet to find a shipping entry that I can definitely say is him.

A better bet might be to find his mother and two siblings - it looks as though they would have arrived together and presumably they would all have been from the same place. Will look up when I have time.

I think i have found the family in question



Ellen Burke 40 yrs , John 14 ys and Margaret 18 yrs travelled on the SS Bothnia all travelled on the same day 26 th April 1886 from cobh to new york they destination is new york...
