Hi Gail, this is the 1911 for an Esther Taylor. Is this your Esther? As you can see there is an Annie Poller mentioned. Do you have a marriage certificate for Esther and Charles/ William? Was he perhaps known by both names?

The 2 ladies who have died. There is, besides Edna's birth, another birth that seems to be in this family.

Wow, the last posting regarding Lilian and Dorothy has got to be spot on; I couldn't find that information. These three are the only ones I know about and I will ask mum to get in touch with Edna to see if there was another birth.
I will check if I have found the marriage record for Esther and Charles Taylor - I'm sure I have. When I told mum she said she thought her grandad's name was William.
Regarding the Poller's you have found, I've found those ones too and when I print it all out will try and see which ones are which. The printout of the census record showing Esther and Charles Taylor, with children Charles and Florence was the first evidence I found linking Esther Taylor with Annie Poller, however, who Charles and Florence are I don't know and I'm going to try and find out.
Thank you for all you are doing to help - I feel excitement creeping in...
I will get back to you.

Now I see why you were looking for Reuben Poller. He appears to be Christopher Frederick's father.

Gaah, you are so clever! it all fits. That is way too much of a coincidence not to be right, same year of birth and occupation. I would never have thought it would be mis-transcribed, and although I found the records in the different area, I couldn't connect them.
I think you have solved the problem I was having initially and I'm sure this is the right line, which also means that this is as far back as I can go along this line, mind you 188 years back is not bad at all is it?
I will put it all together and start looking at the females now to complete the picture.
Thank you :-D

You're very welcome. You have been very lucky getting back so far. I have no proof, but I wonder if this is Reuben's mother's death.
