But his mother married James not John.

Some clarification needed.

The birth certificate I have is for James son of John.
I do not have the one for the James 1857 I'm seeking.
The James in the union workhouse is also not the James of whom I'm looking for. as he is is still there in 1891 and the James I need left England for Canada around 1882..
There is also a James Livingstone a bookkeeper at the workhouse, I have a copy of this James death certificate.

As in research I found an Ellen Molyneux married to a James Livingstone. but could not find if they had any children
