I know purchase of the certificates is the only way to be sure, but that's not cheap with so many ancestors to look up.

But I still cannot get to grips with the marriages of Richard Uriah Martyn.
His second wife appears to be Elizabeth Bessemeres - a Dutch or Flemish name, supported by the appearance in 1881 census of a niece Emily ERRENGE born in Belgium
