william George Stow b 1890 Lincolnshire

Please can anyone look for a Birth in the Messingham Lincolnshire Parish Registers for William George Stow born in February 1890 . I have been unable to get a Birth Certificate for him but all of his Brothers and Sisters have one His siblings were all born in Dalton Lancashire, William George was the only one to be born in Messingham The family were back in Dalton for the 1891 Census with William George as a one year old with his Older sister Mary and Brother John. His Parents were William Stow born 1865 and Ellen Augustus Harris born in Cornwall . I know William George was born in February because he was a Policeman and it is on his Police records. William George s Father was also born in Messingham I have been trying to solve the mystery of why no birth entry for many years. William George had many younger brothers and sisters and they all have birth certificates and were all born in Dalton Lancs Thanks Pam |

Have tried the usual things like maiden manes Baptism entry will be fine . His sister Mary was about 4 years older than William and Brother John about 3 years older Thanks |

On FreeBMD there's no William George (any surname) born 1890 in Glanford Brigg which covers Messingham. |

My suggestion, like Andy, is that he was adopted into the family .......... maybe one of his father's sisters or cousins???? |

Found this on FREEREG but again can't find a registation for him or Wm and Annie in 1891 census with Wm Jack. |

Following on from my request for help with William George Stow I can now give my helpers more precise information that i hope may help. In the Record book of the Lancashire Constabulary Examination Book Wiliams Birth date is given as 27th February 1890 Messingham Lincolnshire Thanks to everyone that has been helping Pam |

lots of school records that have survived have been placed in a local Records Office or Archive....some are still held with the school if its survived,,,,,,you will need to contact main library in Barrow in Furness and enquire where if any school records may have been deposited... |
