The informant was sister Mrs John Barnard (Melissa) so nothing to indicate Alfred had ever married.

Just noticed, Melissa and Annie married brothers - John and Frank Barnard.

There's a tree on Rootsweb that has Samuel George Sinden born 1854 Sussex and died 1933, Ontario. It says he married Sarah E. Patterson and the had 1 child Lewis W. Sinden born 1880.

A concession strip is usually 100 chains wide (80 chns=1 mile), split off into lots 20 chns wide.
(so a full lot is 100 x 20=2000 sq chns, i.e., 200 acres). Many farmers just had half a lot - some like your Albert, just had a quarter of a lot, i.e., 50 acres.

Can I ask for some more help please.
Looking for Ellen Sinden born 1853 to John Sinden & Charlotte Apps. Looks like she went to USA and married a Ransom Chart Hodges. Probably died in 1947 in San Diego, Califormia.
If anyone can have a look for me I would be very gratful

The Ellen Hodges who died 1947 in San Diego, California had a birthdate of 15 Feb. 1852. Unfortunately nothing was entered for father's last name or mother's maiden name.
