what puzzles me is that on both 1851 & 1861 Jane & Henry are the same age and there are birth registered in Upholland for Esther (Easter!) Ann, Jane & Mary. Why not Henry? |

I agree - he (Ellen's son) is not the Henry we are looking for, although he also married an 'Alice' but a different one . |

The Ellen who had a son Henry in 1842 - did we think she was the Ellen Banks in 1991. That one shows the Henry Bimpson (son) as widowed and living with her in 1881 so not the Henry married to Alice (see p1) |

I have been looking at it and I have not pinned them down as yet, though, they did have a daughter Ellen on 1841 and we know that an 'Ellen' unmarried had a son Henry in the area but that was c 1842 so it is still very confused. |

Hi Dea, sorry to be a nuisance but is there any indication as to who the parents are if he is listed as grandson. |

Hi Ann, thanks for the info abt Henry Woods/Bimson that seems to answer why we can't find a birth certificate for him. |

this is pure guesswork but if Nicolas & Charlotte did not marry until 1848 could this be Henry |
