Sadly 'Familysearch' threw up absolutely nothing for me. I've already got a copy of the GRO Regimental Birth Indicies 1761 - 1924 from FMP, which is where I originally learned of Thomas 1856 / Sarah Jane 1858 & Charles 1861's existence. Given that Charles was also in the 60th Regt, and there are no birth records for the 7th, do you think it is safe to assume that he remained childless (or is the document's content questionable)? |

You're very welcome Andrew! Most of us use other sites (which we're not supposed to name!!) |

You guys are absolutely amazing - I'm overwhelmed! Where are you finding this stuff? You've got more data in the last couple of hours than I've gleaned from numerous pay-sites over years! |

Ellie, when I posted the 1861 census for the family together in Dover, I put underneath that I couldn't find all of the children. Thomas b 1826 and Elizabeth had a son called Thomas born c1856 (as per Andrew's opening post). The death that Bones (and yourself) has posted appears to be that child - explains why I couldn't find him. |

Good find, Bones - that explains why I couldn't find him with the family I posted in 1861 (further above on page 1) |
