I think that the christening matches the birth nicely, and seems to backup the info you have! Sept 1892 covers all births registered in July, August & September! |

Patchem, Henry would not be in the 1891 census as he wasn't born then, I think you are right, he lied about his age for the army. |

On his army record he has put down that he was born 22/6/1889 in Kensington. On his marriage he says he was born in 1891. |

He also would have had no need to lie about his age as he went into the army in 1915 and came out in 1918. He would have been 24 when he entered the army. So he WAS born 1889! (Mystery). |

His baptism record in 1892 has June 22 written beside it, this was usually the date of birth. |
