Ancestry seem to have a problem and I cant open the 1861 for either of them to check occupations

Gins I wonder if that is the same Joshua marrying twice??

Searching from 1837 to 1859 there are only two marriages for a Joshua Maddison in the whole of England & Wales, so if her dad was Joshua then it looks like one of these is him...

But, he could still have called himself Joseph..... or not!

Father's name Jesper corrected by Ancestry to Jasper. Occupation Coal Miner. There is also a Willington in Northumberland - close to North Shields.
