I was also confused by the first post about the name being changed after the shop was bombed in the war.
which war?
Many people with Germanic names changed their names at the beginning of, or during, WW1, certainly not afterwards.
and bombs I think were more lielly to have been dropped in WW2.

WIGFIELD, Thomas Son M 10 1901 Scholar Birkenhead Cheshire VIEW SOUTHALL, John Son M 10 1901 Scholar Birkenhead Cheshire VIEW WIGFIELD, Cora Daughter F 7 1904 Scholar Birkenhead Cheshire VIEW WIGFIELD, Erick Son M 4 1907 Scholar Birkenhead Cheshire VIEW WIGFIELD, Horris Son M 0 (7 MONTHS) 1911 Scholar Birkenhead Cheshire VIEW Thats definatly them. All the children are there. And the Alicia Southall went to New York... thats the same person who is registered as Cora's mother.

Cora was registered in Alicia's maiden name but it looks like the others were registered in the name of Southall and Wigfield so Alicia was more than the maid
Also you have been given Cora's baptism but this time she has been recorded as Wigfield
