My great grandad was Gerald Worrall born 1905 in portobello,i think ive found his dad who was William Worrall born 1885 in willenhall.I also think i found his dad being William Worrall born 1852 in wolverhampton.I am now stuck at a brick wall.I think the William of 1852 was married to Mary Shaw Nutter? and had 9 children James 1875, Henry 1878, Alfred 1880, John 1883, Samuel 1884, William 1885, Horace 1885, George 1887 and Ellen 1873.On the 1901 or 1911 census there was another 2 children being florence 1894 and fredrick 1897 but not sure if these were william and marys children or their childrens grandchildren.I can't find any records on the any of the children and cant seem to go back after William Worrall 1852.Could anyone out there help out,id be really greatful if you could. |

have you looked at the image for the 1911. It should say how many children born alive and how many surviving, also the relationship of the children to the head of house |

ideally you should get a birth cert and it would give you the mother's maiden name |

Ive think ive found the connection that william worrall 1852 wolverhampton who was married to Mary 1851 is brothers with James Worrall 1853/4 wolverhampton who was married to Emma 1855 wolverhampton.Ive came to this conclusio as James and Emma had a daughter Violet Worrall 1892 wolverhampton,i think on the 1901 or 1911 census Violet was living with William and Mary which was classed as their niece. Is there any way now i can find the parents of William and James Worrall or if they had anymore siblings as the information on Genes reunited isn't sheddig anymore light. |

Thanks alot for the info maureen really grateful for it.Just ashame i cant find anything past the 1851 on william,so cant see if he had brothers or his father and mother were.It all ties up together the information you've gave me got to be same people,i know the translation of documents have it down as either worroll or warrall but the dates and so on tie up with what i know of my great grandad worrall and what my grandad has told me.Wouldn't know were to begin to get the information to go back more. |

Please purchase a wedding or birth certificate for William. We've been "winging it " with absolutely no evidence. |
