Hi Iv been Busy
From william Antcliffe of 1840 married to Harret Wright 1842
William Was born in Lambly
Census:info 1891 Heanor Minor 1861 Dethick hear he is servant and is working with a Alexander Wright i wonder if some relation to his wife 1841 Lambley and is just 10 months old
He lives with his farther Jhon Antcliffe 1813 and Fanny Antcliffe 1815 referd to as francess in later census.Jhon comes from Lowdham
there is a jhon born in Lowdham 1812 to wm Hanclif & rebacca reason there marrige said Anclif 1804
There is wm Ancliff borrn in Lowdham 1781 he would fit in the bill for jhon dad Exept he marries a Sarah in 1808 and live out there lives that can be seen on census. my first thought is sarah is simpley his second wife but on compering the children im not so shure
R: Elizebeth 1808 R: Jhon 1812 R: Charls 1809
S: Elizebeth 1817 S: William 1825 S:Thomas 1813
as you can see they dont add up as jhon would have been born to rebbeca after he had married sarah So who is this mystery william antcliffe married to rebeca reason there are plentey of william antcliffes around just how do i fit one of them to her
any help would be great thank you

Maureen if you condense those copies and pastes up and take out the unimportant things and sort the things that get muddled when you copy ... they are so much easier to read !
for instance
KNIGHT, Joseph Head Married M 31 1820 Frame Work Knitter (Glove) Sheepshead Leicestershire WRIGHT, Priscilla House Keeper Unmarried F 28 1823 Seamer Heanor Derbyshire WRIGHT, Harriet Lodger F 9 1842 Seamer Heanor Derbyshire WRIGHT, Mary F 4 1847 Heanor Derbyshire WRIGHT, Sarah F 0 (7 MOS) 1851 Heanor Derbyshire
Reg. District: Basford Sub District: Ilkeston Parish: Heanor Enum. District: 4 Address: Tagg Hill, Heanor County: Nottinghamshire
Justin here is a very old thread about the surname spelling
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/board/trying_to_find/antcliffe/thread/620803
'I am searching for more details on Jane Antcliffe. She was born in c1834 in Nottinghamshire (Broadholme/Harby/North Clifton area) and was the daughter of William Antcliffe (a labourer). In 1857 she married my gr gr gr grandfather William Franklin in Thorney Parish Church, Notts. They had a witness of Edward Antcliffe. There seems to be a lot of confusion over the spelling of her surname it could be Antcliffe, Antcliff, Ancliffe or Ancliff! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kristian'
many surnames had changeable spelling in the 1800s :-)
