Maureen - After having a good look and using google maps to decifer what the census's were saying, I can see the connection!!!!

It doesn't make it easy when sometimes the birthplaces change on cencus's thats why I use google to see the distances between, if you can understand that?

Thank you ever so much for tracking down the link, it looked like I was getting myself into a right muddle, if these records were rope I would have tied myself up 10 times over. I can now start working on this line and finding all the other 465 heirs, ha ha!!

Thanks again

i know who inherited I have paperwork regarding the division of Beatrices estate in 1981 ( although she died in 1971).

Clara Mitchell's Children were given a 469th or so share of the estate . So I know there must be a connection somewhere along the line Due to the inhereitence laws only 1st cousins/removed can benefit, therefor Clara and Beatrice have to be 1st cousins..

Claras children, Eva, Elsie, Gladys and Phyllis were all born in Glasshoughton West yorkshire and lived in area all their lives.

MaureeninNY Report 2 Sep 2011 12:43

Hi Vicky,

That's the problem. I really don't see any obvious connection between Beatrice's Mitchells and yours. Possibly just a coincidence that that was her mother's maiden name?

Do you have an actual copy of the will or do you know who inherited?

Just wondering if the person in your family was a close friend, neighbour, caregiver, etc. (or none of the above...).

Maureen

Thanks Maureen but the information you give me does not connect in any way to my tree unless you can see a connection somewhere!!

your not tortuing me, I'm enjoying it even though it is very time consuming and sometimes a pain in the butt!!

But that's what I was blabbering on about before!

Agnes 1870 (Daniel's) did NOT marry Thomas Timms. I think she married a Frederick Mumford.

The Agnes who married Thomas Timms was the daughter of John and Emma Mitchell. Born about 1864 in Iver,Bucks.

Here they are in 1891:

Vicky Report 1 Sep 2011 22:20

Daniel Mitchell 1791 has no connection to William Mitchell in derbyshire.

Daniel is my gggg grandfather, and also the g grandfather of Beatrice timms, who was the original person i was trying to trace. I'm overjoyed at finding the connection as all we had was a piece of paper with a name and nothing more.

once again thanks to everyone who has helped me make this connection! :-)
