If you need the full details of all the Barracloughs in Haworth, and/or all the children born to an Andrew Barraclough, let me know. Andrew was a fairly uncommon name at the time so it's easy to pick them out though I fear nearly impossible to decide whether the children belonged to Andrew snr or jnr. Francis?Frank is more difficult...there were lots of them! |

Thank you for the extra Kim. I have gone through my whole thread again with the benefit of a night's sleep and it is amazing what you all put together on the simple request of a wife for John Barraclough to be a mother for his 3 children. |

I found burial of an Andrew Barraclough aged 83 on 17 Nov 1836, Calverley & Chapelry of Idle. He is of Eccleshill Moor. So the right location for the grandfather of your John. |

Thank you Kim and Londonbelle. I hope IGI will yield a Ruth Barringham with father Thomas with a christening at some place with a name like Grodland! I have never heard of it before so possibly a mistranscription? |

Sorry - he was of Heaton (I think that's what it says) and she of Shipley. He was previously married to Grace Davy, 21 years, spinster, daughter of John Davy a woolcomber. Married 1 Aug parish of Calverley. Both living in Idle. |
