Marriage for William Jarvis Gibson and Margaret Pryde Terras 28th July 1880 at South Lynn. Williams age given as 26 (born c1854). Occupation is schoolmaster from Bromley, Middlesex. Father: John Gibson, gardener. Witnesses were Charles Thomas Dennis and Sarah Anne Gibson.

When you look at the image Mike the age is 39 which puts his birth at around 1854, is very puzzling but interesting :-)

In your opening post you mentioned a child who dies aged 9.

Is this the entry you refer to ?

Definitely worth getting Eleanor Houldsworth's birth certificate....she obviously took on the Midwin name for whatever reason.
Can't find a marriage for Houldsworth/Midwin .. she could even be adopted.

Mike- yes ,I found the Houldsworth one also and wondered as it seems the most likely fit,but I do not know how on earth they could get MIdwin from it in the register unless there is some kind of stepchild name switching going on?
