so could rose have been born before they married therfore maybe registered under her mothers maiden name ?

It looks to me as if the Edward Dean and Esther Duffy marriage is correct (as Barry gave these names earlier) and it seems likely that Rose was actually born as Rose Duffy - the birth reference has already been given earlier for this birth by Barbara from Yorkshire at the top of this second page of the thread.
