For interest: Liverpool Registry Office is closed for refurbishment (my cousin visited there last week). The records have been transferred temporarily to Crosby (nearer her home!). |

Yes, you may need to research Scotland for the marriage, but there are these Elizabeths living in the same parish in 1851. |

Joyce, I really don't think Elizabeth McNeal was your William's bride. The parentage and occupations on that marriage is all wrong, and I also found that couple in 1861 (first page). |
