Thank you for looking Chris and for you information about the 1783 Stamp Duty Act as I wasn't aware of that. Will have a look again in the Horsted Keynes baptism records 1794 onwards. |

Received birth cert of Walter Edward Wing and death cert of Anne Wing. Anne died on 2 April 1878 age 15 at King Edward School, St Georges Road, St Saviour (none of the parents registered her death). On the cert. her father Francis Wing is described as a groom - deceased. Interesting, as wife Frances is on her own in 1881 census, described as 'married' (widowed in 1891 census). On son Frank's 1883 wedding cert he is described as 'florist', deceased. Maybe he did end up in a lunatic asylum which the family may not have been willing to inform others about? Must order 1902 death cert of Francis Wing for possibly further clues. If he did die though in the 1870's, it must have been between Jan 1870 - Mar 1878. He would have been less then 40 years old in that case. |

As mentioned the 1902 death cert will probably be for the Francis in the luaitic asylum...question is will there be any info on it that would point to your Francis?? You can only purchase it and hope for the best |
