Little Island Cove is on the next peninsular W of St John's, separating Trinity Bay from Conception Bay. Little Island Cove is abt 50km N of Carbonear and abt 20km from the tip of the peninsular. It's on the E (Conception Bay) side, but it's outside Conception Bay by then. |

Grace hospitals are usually Sally Ann hospitals, very often maternity hospitals. The Salvation Army is very strong in Nfld. |

I normally use b for birth and bp for baptism, but you can't rely on everyone being so careful. |

Thank you.....this document is a little confusing it says b so far down then go's on to say bapt and some of the document says dc and in some parts it says d I'll just have to put it in my tree as best as I can xx |

Sometimes it says d=died, and follows it with a date. Other times it says bd and follows it with a date. You've got to wonder where they'ld get an exact date of burial without knowing the exact dod - the records that would give this are rather limited - my guess is from a church burials register, although conceivably it could come from graveyard records or from a newspaper funeral notice. |

Marrying five times would really be pretty unusual. According to that tree, Josephus was nearly 30 when Muriel was born. It's imaginable that he'd been married before, even twice, and married twice or three times after Evangeline. But it really would be pretty unusual. |
