Hi all does anyone have idea what the legal age was to around 1938. I was just thinking that Garland would have been 18 in 1938 and he married my aunt in the uk dec 1944 and died march 1945. so its about a six year time frame between being 18 and marrying my aunt that he would have married his first wife .

What I'm wondering is........ did the Masseys take on the 2 younger may boys due to there being a family limk?? ie; Neely married Kate's sister??

However he was previoulsy married to a lady in the USA. She apparently died in childbirth. The places that I have for him isn Polk, Georgia, Cornelia Georgia, Habersham Georgia or Chatanooga.
I guess he would have been married to his first wife between 1938 and 1942 possibly. It says on his war record 'date of entry on current active service 14th December 1942. I understand that the census is out and would include the year 1938 onwards is anyone able to help me at all.

Although the 1940 US census has been released none of the sites who will ultimately have it available online have transcribed the records yet so there will be a bit of a delay before people will effectively be able to search it.
