Found this and it gives the name of Eliza's father as Joseph Powell.

It seems you have John Gibbs 1843 born Leominister Hereford.
Parents.

Lisa Flick had already put up Who his mother was. It was Eliza Powell and she even put the the marriage date on for the 10 Aug 1841.

There can't be much doubt that the MARDEN baptism is correct

Not really sure why you were in doubt........the birthplace info in 1881 is the same as in 1851
