	Found this and it gives the name of Eliza's father as Joseph Powell. 	My pooter is playing up too Lisa. Try to disgest what we have looked up for you. I know it can be confusing as we all have the some trouble at some point in our trees. It seems you have John Gibbs 1843 born Leominister Hereford. Parents. John Gibbs c1813/17 married to Eliza Powell.

	Lisa Flick had already put up Who his mother was. It was Eliza Powell and she even put the the marriage date on for the 10 Aug 1841. JOHN GIBBS Pedigree Male Family Marriages: Spouse: ELIZA POWELL Family Marriage: 10 AUG 1841 Marden, Hereford, England Messages: Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record. This is an Extracted record which means you can trust it. You will still have to buy John and Hannah's marriage cert. Mel

	There can't be much doubt that the MARDEN baptism is correct Not really sure why you were in doubt........the birthplace info in 1881 is the same as in 1851
