Find Ancestors

Hi,
I know this is a long shot but my husband's father was named as 'Henry Walter Herbert otherwise Henry James Smith', on my husband's birth certificate, does this mean that his name was Henry Walter Herbert Smith, as I first presumed, or could he possibly have used the surname Herbert as I have recently thought?
Also I know that his first marriage took place in London in 1901 and he married Eva Ferris/Ferres and I wandered if anyone has a way that they could very kindly find out for me where it took place (I know there is a thing for this on ancestry.co.uk, but I do not have a membership with them.) Can anybody help me with this?

Thankyou very much Maddie, Ginny and Mary! I am afraid that Henry Walter Herbert Smith born in 1871 is not him as in 1901 he is married before he married Eva and he wasn't (as far as we know) but he was from Shoreditch/Islington way. Is there any information on the 3 daughters mentioned in 1911?

I should have said that Henry and Eva moved back to Exmouth, Devon and had Edna here in 1909. Henry re-married here and had my husband from the 2nd marriage.
Any information on the 3 daughters births?

that can't be Henry because he is a batchelor when he marries Eva and that's not the address on the marriage which was also in 1901, just after the census.

If on the birth certifictae it also states Henry Walter Herbert then I certainly wouldn't rule it out.

If Elizabeth had been previously married and had children then Henry could be just living with her??
