When you say she was in the Army in 1940's do you know whether that was the regular army or the Land Army? It was in 1941 that single women aged 20~30 were first "Called Up" for war work. |

I am trying to obtain info about my birth mother Edith (Edie) Clark. I know very little about her except that she was in the army in 1940's. That she did marry and adopt a child. I have searched marriage records but there are so many Edith Clarks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could find out who she married with so little info. also i am thinking that death records would be in the womans married name. Any ideas welcolme |
