Hi Colin I am sure his name was Emmanuel swan after thinking about it today. He was def older than Hector but I am not sure by how much . I think he was hectors uncle but then again could of been a cousin . I think he came from llandudno. I do actually have a letter here from him to Hector will find it tomorrow . Hector was very close to him and I'm sure he told me he went to America but maybe he was in Canada . Will try to find the letter asap and not sure I will sleep tonight lol have so much to put in order mandi x |

Hi Colin yes that does seem logical but you can,t imagine he would of had much if he went over there at first when he was 14.Also what on earth possessed them to get married when she was so young!! Maybe the aunty gave him the money I do have some bits of paperwork and letters particularly between him and Emmanuel and it does sound like a family at war!!once her family went back she didn,t stay with Hector just disappeared and nobody seems to know anything else I guess losing the baby was too much for her. Thankyou so much but am def going to try to find out what the codes mean that has intrigued me . Thankyou mandi x |

To dea hi I really can,t thank you enough it has been amazing finding so much out after 11 years of not being able to find much can,t wait to sort all the info out and get it in some sort of order and maybe even find a few living relatives in Canada !!!! And maybe if I do I may well find out how Hector came by so much money!!! Funny how he failed to mention that he got deported from Canada!!! He liked to travel even when he was older and one of his last big trips was to Australia he never once mentioned to me that he had ever been there!!, thankyou mandi |

This looks like the marriage of William's son by his first wife Mary Ann Figg Towell. He seems to marry a relative of his father's second wife, the bride's mother being Hoath |

Hi 150.00 seems a lot of money at that time for a 14 year old to be carrying .I think hectors mum is the welsh connection and I believe they lived at a place called marl farm in llandudno for a while and that most of his relatives lived in the area for a while. I do believe they were quite a troubled family which is why it's quite a problem to unravel it now but you are all amazing thankyou mandi x |

Possible second marriage for Oscar's father William? But Sarah''s age doesn't match 1901 census. |

There are attestation papers for Oscar Towell enlisting for WW1. It says born 21 Feb. 1884, Toronto but gives next-of-kin as mother Mrs William Towell, 66 Wardale St., Toronto. This was 1915. |
