I would think Sarah Watkiss is your gggrandmother, and William is the next generation up. |

Very possibly they were not married, if she was already married which is what it looks like. |

Just to get it straight in my head, Sarah poss my GGGrandmother was either watkiss or wathiss before she married Henry Potter. She had two children by Henry a william and Ellenor. She then is married to Thomas Sheppon ( do you think this is a written error as in 1911 sencus of robert and mary they are skippon) .There is no record of their marriage as yet. why do you think we cant find these marriages, do you think she never actually married Thomas? |

Can't see a death for Sarah's husband Henry Potter, nor can I find him on census. But that may explain why we can't find a marriage for Thomas to Sarah. |

Thomas was born Norfolk! Sarah Wolverhampton though, so marriage likely to be there. |

Possibly born in Norfolk? they all seem to come from there! |

Can't see a marriage for the parents Sarah & Thomas - she may have been married before the stepson is Potter, but I can't see him on 1881 census or a birth for him in Wolverhampton. |

To sum up, I think the person with the Skippon/langham marriage has gone astray somewhere. Obviously a completely different person. |
